Learning Assisants do not need to know all of the answers but should be able to direct student-athletes to the tools and resources necessary, through the University and the Learning Center, to be successful.Ī subject tutor is responsible for breaking down concepts to a student for a particular course. This position requires constant feedback to the student, the coordinator of learning services, and academic counselor to monitor student-athlete progress and performance. Learning Assistants serve as role models, study skills instructors, time management assistants, and guides for student-athletes at the University of Minnesota. Learning Assistants help student-athletes in building the skills essential for their pursuit of a degree at the University of Minnesota.
